We built the tool we wished existed. One that understands what actors actually need.
Our Story
We're a small team of working actors and engineers who understand the hustle firsthand. We've been through the same audition grind, faced the same rehearsal challenges, and felt the same frustrations with existing tools.
As union members ourselves, we're committed to supporting actors ethically through every stage of their careers. We understand the industry's challenges and opportunities because we live them every day.
What We Stand For
Every great performance is built on hundreds of imperfect rehearsals. CastMate gives you the freedom to fail in private, experiment with choices, and work through difficult scenes without judgment.
We've been there. Running lines in the car before an audition, begging roommates to read with us at midnight, trying to nail emotional scenes with zero feedback. Our tools are built from those experiences.
Geography and finances shouldn't determine who gets to pursue acting. We're leveling the playing field by giving actors everywhere the same quality practice opportunities at a price that makes sense.
As SAG-AFTRA members, we're committed to building tools that respect and enhance the work of union actors. We actively engage with the union to ensure our platform aligns with their standards and values.
Our goal is to complement, not replace, the human connections that make acting so powerful. We're building tools that help actors prepare so they can deliver their best work when it matters most.
We chose a handshake for our logo because it represents what we're actually trying to do here - help actors connect. Not with an algorithm, but with real people in real rooms.
CastMate exists to help you prepare for the moments that matter - the audition, the callback, the first day on set. We're the practice before the performance, the prep before you walk into the room and shake someone's hand for real.
Our tools aren't meant to replace the connections you make with other actors, directors, and casting professionals. They're designed to make those connections stronger by helping you show up prepared and confident.
Want to help change the way actors act? We're always looking for passionate, creative people to join our team.
